Love art? A visit to Bordertown’s Walkway Gallery is a must. If you time your visit right, you’ll see local artists taking part in creative workshops and classes. But the gallery, located in the redeveloped Tatiara Civic Centre, doesn’t just support local   artists – it is one of the few regional galleries to showcase national and state touring exhibitions of established Australian artists.

Peruse the library and head upstairs to the Bob Hawke Gallery, a tribute to the former Australian Prime Minister who was born in Bordertown on 9 December 1929. History buffs will also love Clayton Farm Heritage Museum, with its restored homestead and old farm machinery.
